FettleFix

Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

These terms govern the use of FettleFix, shop management software for repair trades, provided by [Your company name and legal form, e.g. "Fettle Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 00000000"] ("FettleFix", "we", "us"). By creating a shop account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent ("you", "your shop").

1. What FettleFix is

FettleFix is job-tracking software for repair businesses: intake, status tracking, customer-facing status pages, estimate approval, service reminders, a payments ledger, and a parts inventory. It is provided as a subscription service, currently offered with a thirty-day free trial.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your shop's account, including actions taken by any staff member you add. Tell us at [support email address] if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your data, and your customers' data

Everything you put into FettleFix, job records, customer details, photos, messages, payments, belongs to you. You can export it as CSV or standard file formats at any time, including after cancelling.

Where you enter personal data about your own customers (names, contact details, repair history), you are the data controller for that information under UK GDPR, and FettleFix acts as your data processor, storing and processing it only to provide the service to you. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to hold your customers' data and for telling them how it's used if your own policies require it.

4. Acceptable use

Use FettleFix for its intended purpose: running a repair business. Don't use it to store data you don't have the right to hold, attempt to disrupt the service, or attempt to access another shop's data.

5. Fees and cancellation

Current pricing is shown at fettlefix.com/#pricing. [Describe your actual billing terms here once payment processing is live: billing cycle, what happens on non-payment, refund policy.] You can cancel at any time; your account remains readable, but not writable, for twelve months after your last payment so you can retrieve your data.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep FettleFix available at all times but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We're not liable for losses arising from downtime, data loss, or errors, beyond what's required by law. FettleFix is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

7. Ending this agreement

You can stop using FettleFix at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully, with notice where practical.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let account holders know by email before it takes effect.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales, or your actual jurisdiction], and any disputes will be handled by the courts there.
